My goal

Hi everyone! Not sure what this blog will be like yet but I feel that politics is becoming more important to me and I want to keep learning more.  Not sure if it is my age or moving to DC (so politically charged) but my political views are becoming stronger.  I want to use this blog to discuss things that are interesting to me and also find more information to DEFEND these views.

Initially my mind is going to these topics as ones I'd like to explore:

• inheritance tax
• press coverage of Romney taxes / Bain experience
• increasing regulation of small businesses

We will see what happens!

Also, starting with this title "The New Conservative," not because I am newly conservative but because I am newly thinking about this a lot and also because I feel that I am part of a "new" or maybe just a subset of the conservatives in this country to whom the primary defining feature of this ideology is the role of the government (or lack thereof!).
